The Labour Cost Index (AKI) for the private sector in September 2020 was 129.7 for wage earners and 138.6 for salaried employees. Compared with September 2019, labour costs has increased by 0.4 percent for wage earners and by 2.9 percent for salaried employees.
Total labour costs include pay for hours worked, pay for hours not worked, other cash payments and payments in kind, costs for additional pension benefits, other collective fees, contributions to health insurance schemes, contributions to national basic supplementary pension schemes, sick pay, and a special payroll tax.
