Women and men in Sweden – Facts and figures 2008

Gender equality is one of the priority subject areas that Sweden is actively pushing within the EU. In order to facilitate this, the lifestyles of both women and men must be made visible and put on the top of our agenda. What are the good and bad as pects? Statistics is an important tool to find out more about problems. The well-known booklet Women and Men in Sweden. Facts and Figures, presents actual facts, figures and statistics in many different areas.

In the printed version of "Women and men in Sweden 2008", the information on women and men on page 97 in the table "Elected to Parliament by age..." has been mixed up for 2006. Information concerning women is found under the heading for men while information concerning men is under the heading for women.
